Nardos Yohanness
As a new graduate Occupational Therapist, I have developed a strong foundation in supporting individuals to build confidence, develop life skills, and engage meaningfully in their daily routines. My interest in mental health has guided much of my practice, where I have worked alongside clients to promote emotional regulation, social participation, and occupational balance. During my practice education placements, I had the opportunity to work with adolescents, young adults, and older adults across various settings, delivering person-centred interventions tailored to each individual’s goals and abilities.
Through these experiences, I have supported people with a broad range of needs, including neurodevelopmental, physical, and mental health conditions. This exposure has strengthened my ability to adapt interventions, use therapeutic communication effectively, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive functional outcomes.

Bachelor of Occupational Therapy
What draws me to occupational therapy is the opportunity to make a real difference in the moments that matter most — helping people rebuild their sense of self, purpose, and confidence after life has disrupted their routines or roles. I’m motivated by seeing how meaningful engagement, no matter how small, can shift someone’s outlook and open new possibilities.
